The Internet is playing an increasingly essential role in connecting the cyber, physical, and social worlds. Due to the open, dynamic, constantly changing nature of Internet, software on the Internet differs from traditional software in terms of its form, structure, and behavior. The theme of Internetware reflects the challenges faced by developers in the Internet era and in many aspects of software technologies, from operating platforms and programming models, to engineering approaches, etc.

Internetware 2022 is the 13th Asia-Pacific symposium on Internetware, a series of symposia started in 2009 with the aim to bring researchers to discuss, communicate of their research on Internetware. In recent years, Internetware has taken place in Beijing (2009, 2016, 2018), Suzhou (2010), Qingdao (2012), Changsha (2013), Hong Kong (2014), Wuhan (2015), Shanghai (2017), Fukuoka (2019), Online (2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic). This year, Internetware 2022 will be held June 11-12 in Huhhot, China.
