演讲摘要:Although robots are being widely employed in various applications, their performance and intelligence level are still far below humans’ expectation. One of the major reasons is that robots are not skillful or intelligent in coordinating eyes with their actions. Coordination of eyes with hand actions, such as grasping and manipulations, and coordination of eyes with leg actions, e.g. moving, walking, etc. are crucial for robots to act reliably, robustly, efficiently and accurately in natural environments. This talk presents technical challenges in vision-driven actions of robots, and demonstrates our work on visual servoing of robot arms and mobile robots, vision-driven robot grasping, vision-driven robotic manipulation of soft objects, vision-guided navigation of mobile robots, etc. Applications of the vision-driven robotics technology in manufacturing, logistics and robotic surgery will be also introduced.
讲者简介:刘云辉,香港中文大学卓敏讲席教授、IEEE Fellow、HKIE Fellow、国家特聘专家、天石机器人研究所所长、InnoHK创新平台香港物流机器人研究中心行政总裁、日本东京大学数理和信息工程博士。主要研究领域为机器人,机器智能及其在医疗、物流、建筑、先进制造等行业的应用,发表500多篇论文,2013年被评为SCI工程界高他引的作者;承担了香港研究资助局(RGC)专题研究项目、国家重大科技专项、InnoHK等资助的20多项研究项目;近年积极开展机器人技术产业化,是未来机器人、筑橙科技、康乐思腾机器人等联合创始人。
